Owner Pass Terms

A free personal account in the OMHAS Academy. It gives you every course in the Academy catalogue, including courses added later, and issues a certificate in your name for each course you complete. The catalogue changes over time as courses are added, updated, replaced or retired. No payment card is collected and nothing is ever charged.

One Owner Pass per business, held by one person. Any other owner or director who wants access is added through the Library Card as a Named User. A person who owns more than one business holds one Owner Pass.

The Owner Pass may not be shared, transferred, or used to train anyone else. Certificates are issued only in your name. A certificate obtained through a shared login, by someone other than you, or on the basis of false information may be revoked.

The Owner Pass does not include adding people, team records or an organisation dashboard. Those come with the OMHAS Academy Library Card under its own Terms. If your business later purchases a Library Card, your Owner Pass ends and the same login becomes the administrator account for that organisation and one of its Named Users, counted and billed under the Library Card Terms. Your completed courses and certificates stay in the account.

The Owner Pass has no expiry date. OMHAS may end any Owner Pass at any time. If OMHAS closes the Owner Pass program, we give 30 days' notice, and a course already in progress may be finished within that period. Certificates you have already earned remain yours, and you may request a copy of your training record under our Privacy Policy.

OMHAS reviews every request after access is granted and may ask you to confirm the information you provided. A pass may be ended if the information is false, if eligibility cannot be established, or if the business is a training provider or consultancy.

We use the information in your request to set up, support and review your account, as described in our Privacy Policy. We email you about the Academy and the Library Card only if you ticked the separate consent box, and you may unsubscribe at any time. Account, sign-in, security, certificate and Terms-related emails are part of the service.

Online training alone may not satisfy every legal requirement, and a certificate of completion is not by itself proof of legal compliance or a prescribed certification. Equipment-specific, site-specific and practical training remain the responsibility of your business.

The Owner Pass is provided as available and free of charge. OMHAS is not liable for any loss arising from its use or from its ending, except for fraud or wilful misconduct, or where the law does not allow liability to be limited.

We may change these Terms; the current version is always published at this page, and material changes are announced by email before they take effect. These Terms are governed by the laws of Ontario.
