What Maintenance Includes

System Oversight

Annual system review, gap identification, and program alignment with operational changes. Your safety management system is reviewed to ensure it continues to reflect how your organization actually operates. Systems are maintained in a structure that supports internal and external audits.

Legislative Monitoring

Monitoring of provincial and federal regulatory updates. Policy updates where required. Guidance on regulatory changes affecting your operations.

Operational Support

Incident reporting guidance, inspection preparation, and health and safety meeting support. Quarterly meeting agendas with relevant talking points are provided to keep your safety meetings structured and productive.

Training Integration

Access to OMHAS Academy training courses for your staff. Training recommendations based on workplace hazards. Supervisor and workforce learning support to ensure competency requirements are maintained.

How Maintenance Works

Month 1: System Review and Alignment

OMHAS reviews your current program, identifies any gaps, and aligns the system with current operational and regulatory requirements.

Monthly: Ongoing Support

Continuous access to professional guidance. Legislative updates communicated as they occur. Policy updates delivered and inserted into your program.

Quarterly: Meeting Support

Ready-made health and safety meeting agendas with structured talking points provided every three months.

A comprehensive review of your entire safety management system to identify gaps, assess compliance, and recommend updates for the year ahead.

Why Maintenance Matters

Safety management systems degrade over time without active oversight. Changes in legislation, operational practices, and workforce structure can quickly make a safety program outdated.

The OMHAS Maintenance Program ensures organizations maintain a structured, current, and functional safety management system over time.
